JUDITH L. STICKLEY, P.E., LEED AP BD+C

POSITION: Senior Engineer

After receiving her Master’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Judy began her engineering career in the structural engineering department of Rust International.  Her work there involved design and production of contract documents for portions of heavy industrial projects.  While at Rust, Judy designed portions of a new paper mill located in a high seismic zone.

Judy joined Christy/Cobb, Inc. as a project engineer in 1985. During her career at Christy/Cobb, Judy has completed over 250 structural engineering projects including industrial plants and water and wastewater facilities, commercial and educational buildings, large residences and site related structures. The projects in each genre involved both new construction and renovation.  Her design experience has included concrete, steel, masonry, wood and composite materials. In addition to analyzing and designing structures, she has managed the production of contract documents, handled construction phase services including field observation, submittal review and test report evaluation.  Her field experience included serving as the resident project engineer during the 2½ year construction phase of the Inland System Renovation and Spillway Modifications.  This extensive field experience has given her an understanding of the intricacies of construction and the ability to make practical design decisions.  Judy’s area of special interest is concrete design, construction and repair.
